SOTHERBY HOMES FORECLOSURE SALE ALL MODEL HOMES AND INVENTORY AVAILABLE NOW
Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 9:29am. 2730 Views, 0 Comments.
Sotherby Homes has gone out of business. According to information we have received from former sales associates, the bank that provided the interim interest and construction loans to Sotherby called in all their notes and foreclosed upon all Model Homes and completed and non completed new home inventory. Because of the Nationwide lending crisis, Sotherby was unable to find a replacement lender and has as a result ceased its operation. Sotherby Homes is no more.
These new foreclosures will of course come with all the warranties that apply to Windows, Appliances, Air Conditioning and Heating Systems. Additionally ARG will help you secure a 1 year's buyer warranty from a LICENSED 3rd Party Residential Service Contract provider. It is unclear IF there will be a…

The NEW D.R. Horton Means Superb Value for 2009 Home Buyers!!
Thursday, January 8th, 2009 at 10:48am. 248 Views, 0 Comments.
Many believe D.R. Horton is just a starter home builder, but this is not entirely true. Over the years D.R. Horton has built upscale homes, but it's niche market was and continues to be in the first time home buyer market where it rules the roost in the DFW market.
However, you might not realize that D.R. Horton HAS the look you want if you are a "move up" buyer. In fact even if you are an empty nester or "Down-sizer" D.R. Horton has a home product you should look at before you make your next new home purchase decision.
Have a look here at the styling you can find from D.R. Horton at the Greens at Westridge in McKinney. These homes represent "Green" construction practices, and incorporates the energy features you NEED when buying a new home like Vinyl…

Trading Losses and Moving Forward in 2009

Happy New Year and welcome to 2009! For most people 2008 could not go bye-bye fast enough and for good economic reasons. Yet for DFW real estate 2008 was for the most part just a down or off year. It started slow and stayed slow with prices generally flat or down. Then in July the market showed a renewed vigor with home sales moving again.
Then came September!
September started a new economic reality that most people have never experienced. Real Estate sales came to a halt while bank after bank and Wall Street literally tanked or went belly up. Foreclosures where out in force and home prices took a noticeable dive.
However when you look at the final numbers, a lot of smart buyers made their move and bought up foreclosures and other homes that were…

Darling Homes Energy Efficiency Standards are OBVIOUS at McKinney's New Master-planned Community Tucker Hill
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at 10:06am. 520 Views, 1 Comments.
Ever get that chill you can't shake and dread when the mercury drops below freezing? Well the DFW Metroplex just got a reminder as to just how cold it can get around these here parts. The last 3 days were a perfect time to review you home's energy efficiency, or for most, the lack thereof!
Yes, even if your home is 3-4 years old, you most likely already know that your so called energy efficient "aluminum windows" do a horrible job keeping the cold out and the heat in. Low E? Give me a "Low E" break! Low E for the most part does little more than provide advertizing blather. What matters is your monthly bill and how you feel in your house when the temperatures are down or up.
Folks Aluminum is a "Conductor" and does a great job transmitting electricity as well…
Non Forclosure Home Sale Round-up for Collin County - WOW!
Thursday, December 18th, 2008 at 12:50pm. 220 Views, 0 Comments.
These numbers show a considerable amount of market activity and shows some remarkable buying activity inspite of a down economy and generally horrible economic news. I suppose when you never had a "bubble" like in California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida and other speculative markets, there just was no real grounds for a huge sell off and general collapse. In effect the bad "national" news was actually a gift for buyers who understood the difference between the DFW real estate market and those troubled national markets.
Experts now suggest a looming period of inflation lies just ahead as a result of the government and Fed flooding the market with new money. The Dollar has already reversed its gains as a result of the FED dropping rates to "0%" If inflation is…
Mortgage Rates Sink to near 4.6%!
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 at 7:24pm. 232 Views, 0 Comments.
There is joy in Mudville! We are now in new mortgage interest rate territory. Most folks 65 to 70 years old or younger have NEVER seen rates this low in their lifetime.
To all the "buyers" out there who think this is ordinary and normal, just stop any 65 year old home owner and ask them.
The rates of a lifetime are now happening with a mortgage lender near you. Basically what you now have is low real estate prices and historic low interest rates. In the past these never happend at the same time. Low rates were always associated with rising home prices. If you are a buyer you might consider what you might have to pay tomorrow if you decide to forgo this gift today.
The forecast is still for INFLATION. In fact inflation is what the FED is trying to create, by…
