We all can use a little good news today and home sales can certainly be that good news if you are a DFW / Collin County home owner wanting to sell. February home closings in Collin County have boomed upwards nearly 40% over January 2010 closings. Home prices have also firmed and in many cases are pushing the upper end of neighborhood comps or creating new high COMPS. The fact is home prices go down and up and right now the economic cycle is pointing up. Comparable Home Values or COMPS are a "rear view" mirror measurement of value that show where we were, but not necessarily where we are going.
