The Highwaymen Live Visit The McKinney Performing Arts Center! These Guys are GREAT!

Michael Moore, Rusty Evans and Bob Gill form the group "Highwaymen Live" a "Musical Tribute" to Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. Close your eyes and you believe you're hearing the original artists, open your eyes and you believe you're seeing the original artists! It's quite an experience.
The McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is a little known cultural jewel located in the "Historic District" of old Downtown McKinney. The MPAC was the old McKinney Court House circa 1880's, but was recently renovated and converted into a performing arts center. Pictures below show the finished results.
The MPAC is surrounded by historic buildings that have been likewise renovated and now house Cafe's, Bistro's, a Winey, Hotel, 5 Star Restaurant, Wine bar, an Enlish style pub and numerous specialty shops. So having a great time on the square is just about all that you can do!
Normally this caliber of talent, The Highwaymen Live do not happen by such small venues as McKinney, but Michael Moore (A.K.A - Willie Nelson) is from McKinney! Yep, it helps having a man on the inside and I sure hope they comeback again for an oncore performance!
Heck, maybe the one and only Willie Nelson would consider McKinney? Nah, what are the chances for that? Although the old Historic Downtown McKinney is about as Texas as Texas gets and a place to visit in its own right, having Willie put on just one performace..... well it would be like getting 2 Texas legends together! And folks this is where having the Winery and Pub on the Square really helps......!
O.K., just thinking outside the box, but this performance was inspiring, it was in McKinney and it was GREAT!
Folks if you live in McKinney you should keep your eye on the MPAC website for upcoming events. If ya were not there last night you missed some down home Texas Singin' & fun!

I was at the Highwaymen show in McKinney and I am telling you this show brought back memories from the past. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to see this group perform jump at the opportunity! It was a fabulously entertaining show and a toe tappin' good time. I will be looking forward to encouraging Michael (aka Willie Nelson) to schedule another performance in the near future.
