The Colony Texas Real Estate

Also known as the "City by the Lake," The Colony is located along 23 miles of shoreline on Lake Lewisville near the intersection of Highway 121 and Farm Road 423. Primarily a new city, real estate in the Colony was not developed until after 1969, and was meant to be a modeled as a mini version of the City Dallas.

Currently, The Colony has a selection of retail including shopping centers, a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Home Depot, restaurants, and motels. Downtown Dallas is twenty-four miles north and the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is fifteen miles away. Extensive development, both residential and commercial is planned for the near future.
